As gay people become increasingly recognized and accepted in China, so more and more communities, websites and apps are springing up to serve them, joining the roster of foreign apps that include Grindr, Hunter, Jack’d, BoyAhoy and Brenda. Here are some of the hottest.

 

Blued: the largest gay community app in China

According to its creators, Blued is used by 15 million people across China. Its location functions allow its users to find one-another’s profiles, photo albums, blogs and contact information. The app also provides free text and audio messaging services. Most users are gay men.
